Inhassoro
A quiet fishing town north of Vilankulo, the closest launch point for Santa Carolina.
Inhassoro is a low-key alternative to Vilankulo: a long beach, a working fishing fleet, and the shortest boat crossing to Santa Carolina in the Bazaruto Archipelago. It has a long-standing reputation for game fishing, and the coastline north towards the Save river is one of the emptiest stretches in the south.
There is not much to do here beyond the water, which is precisely the point.
Things to do
- Santa Carolina boat trips
- Deep-sea fishing
- Empty beaches towards the Save river
