Kitesurfing
Steady trade winds and huge flat-water lagoons, especially between May and October.
Mozambique's winter trade winds are reliable and the water is warm enough to ride without a wetsuit. Vilankulo's bay offers flat water at low tide with space to spare; Ponta do Ouro and Bilene suit beginners; Guinjata and Barra pick up strong side-shore conditions. Schools and gear rental exist at the main spots, though it is worth confirming availability before travelling.
