Cultural Mozambique in 10 Days
Maputo's music and architecture, Zavala's timbila orchestras and the World Heritage stone town of Ilha.
A route built around people and history rather than beaches: the capital's modernist and Art Deco architecture, the Chopi timbila tradition of Zavala, and Ilha de Moçambique — capital of Portuguese East Africa for nearly four centuries and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It requires one internal flight and rewards curiosity over comfort.
