Gaza is the province of water. The Bilene lagoon is a vast, shallow, almost tideless sheet of water separated from the ocean by a dune — safe for children, ideal for kayaks and small sailing boats. Xai-Xai, the provincial capital, has a long protected beach and a natural tidal pool. Inland, Limpopo National Park forms part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area shared with South Africa and Zimbabwe, and the Limpopo river valley carries the province's farming life.
